So episode 31 is about a guy who runs a blog

and the creators of the show actually went and MADE that fucking blog

AND THEY ALSO MADE ALL THE BLOG ENTRIES SEEN THROUGH THE EPISODE

AND NOT ONLY DID THEY MAKE THEM ON THE DAY THE EPISODE AIRED, BUT THE BLOG ITSELF HAS BEEN OPEN FOR MONTHS AND HAS ENTRIES ABOUT STUFF FROM EARLIER EPISODES

More Book of Life fun, a bunch of stuff I did for the Grandma character. She was originally designed by Sandra Equihua. On each character, the art team (and modeling) had the task of figuring out how to transfer their designs to a 3d object that still retained it’s original graphic appeal. This was also the first character I helped out on in the production, back when we were still doing texture swatch breakouts for each material on the character.

She was extra fun to paint because she is so old and broken down, we decided to add a lot of detail to show her old age through her textures, so she’s very wobbly, uneven and knotted.
